About contact lenses
The first contact lens was designed by Leonardo da Vinci as early as 1508, but it wasn’t until 1888 that development of the contact lens really took off. The first permanently wearable soft lenses came on the market in 1973 and the first oxygen permeable hard lenses appeared in 1975.1
Contact lenses are our passion. They offer freedom, endless possibilities, and for some, they are even the only chance for good vision. The benefits of contact lenses:
