Description

Onefit and Onefit SC are intuitive lenses that vault a given topography with an optimal sag height – specified by the base curve value in millimeters. With fewer parameters to specify, fitting is streamlined.

These smaller diameters (Onefit 14.9mm standard, and Onefit SC 14.7mm standard) simplify handling, which can reduce patient dropout, provide comfort comparable to a soft lens, and reduce the need for toric and quadrant specific haptics.

Onefit SC was developed specifically for smaller corneas that have less flattening towards the periphery and are easier to handle for smaller palpebral fissures. With a smaller standard diameter and different paracentral edge geometry than Onefit, a dedicated Onefit SC fitting set is required to reflect those distinctions with precision.

Onefit & Onefit SC serve as a platform from which the following lens enhancements can be ordered:

  • Multifocal
  • Oblate
  • Oblate Multifocal
  • Sym-Toric (Front Toric)
  • Toric Haptic
  • Quadrant Specific Landing Zones
  • Notching (Controlled Peripheral Recess)

Extra Limbal Clearance (XLC)

  • Versatile designs that can fit normal to moderately irregular corneas and everything in between.
  • Excellent entry point lens – simplistic when preferred but offers a la carte design options to customize as needed.
  • Appropriate for a wide range of HVIDs in concert with diameter options, providing adequate fluid reservoir chamber.
  • Online fitting and design tools offer predictability and visualization of the lens being designed. This also simplifies the ordering process.

Blanchard pioneered the minimalist approach to scleral lens design and fitting with the Onefit™ family of scleral lenses – delivering optimal oxygenation for long-term corneal health with minimal lens mass and tear lens thickness.

All lenses in the Onefit family offer:

  • Outstanding comfort
  • Stability of fit
  • Consistent vision
  • Reduced glare and starbursts
  • Relief from dry eye symptoms*

*When manufactured in material that has FDA clearance for therapeutic use in Ocular Surface Diseases, including Dry Eye.

With a trial set composed of only 14 lenses, practitioners can fit:

  • Emerging to Moderate Keratoconus
  • Keratoconus and Presbyopia
  • Post-Surgical RK
  • Post-Surgical Ectasia
  • Normal Prolate Corneas (with or without astigmatism)
  • Presbyopia
  • Astigmatism/Residual (Onefit Sym-Toric)
  • Myopia with Astigmatism
  • Any offending scleral elevation – utilizing Controlled Peripheral Recess (CPR)*
  • Athletes/active individuals
  • Contact Lens Intolerant
